    Default Newbie help please

    i have got the WHM manual but it does not give any real help
    troubleshooting is not an issue in it
    i cannot create an account

    first it says unable to create user
    then it says group already created

    i'm lost
    i cant find any docs to tell me what is wrong

    errors mean something ..sometimes,.. they give you a real clue
    Just keeping my "eye" on things....

    yes very true but it does not say why it cant add the user, it gives no clue on how to sort it out

    maybe user name is taken? invalid user name?

    Check /etc/passwd and /etc/group and see if the username/group are taken. You also need to check the /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf file. If you can't figure this out on your own, you can seek professional help either from your host or a third-party.

    you need to ssh via root into your server in order to able to check out the file for the entries
