newbie (probably stupid!) questions

I just received my confirmation about my reseller plan, and i'm wondering about a couple of things:
do i have to add my already registered domain name in my whm panel, by adding it to a new package or does the actual web hosting site stay out of the whm?

For a reseller plan, you shouldn't have to create an account for your own domain. Just to be sure your provider doesn't have some kind of whacky setup though, check and see if you can FTP into your account using the login info they gave you.

forgot something:I access my whm through my xp pro interface, is it a must to transfer it to a linux system?
I'm having my problems installing it....
No, linux is the Operating System the server will be running on, you are perfectly fine accessing it using your xp pro system.
