Question Password protect directory several levels deep

I need to protect several directories which are 3 levels deep from the public_html. The cpanel password protect directories won't let me access anything below public_html. I can only protect the directories which are in public_html. These directories do have spaces in their names.

How do I get at directories more than 1 level below the public_html?

    I am running cpanel 11.23.3-RELEASE.

In cPanel -> Security -> Password Protect Directories simply click on the icon to go into that directory. Clicking on the name is how you password protect that directory. Clicking on the icon is how you navigate into that directory with this tool.

Thank you for the speedy reply. Thank you for an answer that works!

Please, forgive my stupidity. I was clicking on the name instead of the icon.

    Thanks again!
