Been having some of the same "dictionary issues" as well. cPanel advised me a dictionary word could be p@assword even though you cannot find it in the diction it is still considered a dictionary word. Like @ for a, o's for 0's (zero) 1 for i, etc... are now looked at the same.

My recommendation is to check the password strength meter when typing your password. If it is red, you need to create a stronger password.

Authentication failed is a much different error from "Your password could not be changed because the new password failed with the following reason : (it is based on a dictionary word), please try again!" so you are unlikely to find solutions to that issue in this thread. However, it seems you have already received a few useful responses to your other thread.

Greetings,

I've just started having this same problem a few days ago as well. It's annoying as the only way to change it thru WHM for all my customers. The Password strength is disabled and I'm still getting password can't be changed due to it being a dictionary issue.

Since you say password strength enforcement is disabled, but you're still getting this message - please submit a support ticket so we can diagnose this for you: http://tickets.cPanel.net/submit
