    Default question about cpanel

    hi all... i'm new here and i've a question about cpanel. i want to install cpanel on my pc, but i want to know if i can connect it to a webhost server, for exemple an user wants to create an account on my site and i want connect my cpanel to a my webhost company (server), when the user creates a ftp account i want to create it from my webhost's account.

    other exemple:
    isp -> modem -> pc, can be modem? company hosting -> my pc -> users

    no, what you are describing can not be done via cpanel standard,
    that would take some custom api commands - unless someone else has a better solution....:>

    No, this is not possible to do from CPanel. You can create mulitple FTP accounts manually for your website users from CPanel.

    thanks thewebhosting, but i want to create ftp accounts for my webhosting's account....however thanks any solution for this i want? :|

    The way that cPanel works in relation to the server is as follows:

    cPanel will be installed on a web hosting server. When you sign up for a domain/website at a webhost they will provide you with access to cPanel through your web browser.

    From there, you can create FTP accounts within cPanel that allow you other other people to add/remove/update files on your website by connecting with a FTP program such as FileZilla, WS_FTP, Cyberduck, etc.

    Does that cover what you need to know?

    thanks cpaneldave, but i don't know if i can install cpanel on webhosting server... only the admin can, I want to order a package (ftp, db, email etc..) and sell it at my users. i don't know if u understand me.thanks

    If you do not have your own server, you can purchase a reseller account from a company that is already using cPanel/WHM. With that reseller account, you can sell hosting packages with FTP, DB, Email etc.

    You can find companies that offer reseller accounts by performing an internet search for: cPanel Reseller Plan
