New to cPanel. Have done some looking around and I know it is something I am doing wrong but I can't figure it out. Downloaded Putty to SSH into my unit. Went to www.hostinglife.com and tried to follow directions.

Fixed broken NDC/BIND.

Manual checks pico/etc/wwwacct.conf

Went fine then I try pico/etc/resolv.conf
and I getlogin as: root
Sent username "root"

-bash: -bash:: command not found


Can somebody help in my next step. I would like to start mailserver. I am actually experimenting on a different domain so when I light up the real thing things might go smoothly.

By the way I own the cpanel machine so I can /whm or /cpanel into it if I need to.

I know it has to do with my Ptr records but I can't seem to change them in /whm

try adding a space between pico and /etc/resolv.conf
