replacing html in phpBB using cPanel

Please excuse my ignorance about how to use cPanel and phpBB!

I want to change the banner on my phpBB forum and from various online sources, I think I need to replace the existing html for the php banner with my image but I don't know where to put my image or how to put it in a file on cPanel.

Help would be much appreciated!
