Unhappy Restoring deleted files - files don't show in legacy file manager

Sorry to bother, but if someone could help me I'd be most grateful.
I was working in the new cpanel file manager. I was sure I hadn't but it seems I deleted a folder that I really need. I have looked at the forum posts here and seen information about the legacy file manager. I looked in there but under the trash can there are no files showing. Is there anyway to restore the files I deleted from the original file manager public html folder? Again, your assitance is greatly appreciated! Kind regards,
    E

    Default Friendly moderator note

I moved this post to its own thread to avoid resurrecting a year-old thread.

Nope, it's gone. But, if your host has backups enabled you might still have a chance here. But I wouldn't wait, ask them right away to get you a recent backup.

Or, login to your cPanel, find the icon titled Backups and click, find the button Daily and click and download a backup of your site to your computer. Next, unpack it. Then find the compressed file homedir there, and unpack that. Inside the homedir directory you might just find the file or folder you killed.

    GL!

    Default Thank you!

My host (Lumasis) fixed up things for me. Thank you for you efforts though.
    Kind regards,
    E
