spam

Hi,

I subscribed to this forum,
and inadvertently put down an e-mail address I haven't
used publicly AT ALL, hence haven't received ANY spam whatsoever thus far.

A day after subscribing to this forum,
I am receiving OEM software spam on a daily basis.

Is there a way to stop that spam, and does it indeed come from the owner of this forum?

verry doubtful it came from the owner of this script Cpanel inc.

its probably because you listed your email in your public profile If you dont want the the scum to get then you should not list your email publicly

Yup, it's because you put it in your public profile as dalem suggested. You should remove/hide it in your user cp settings if you don't want it viewable to the world.

I am glad to hear that there is something I can do to prevent those spammers
to hit me.

I am relieved that it isn't the forum itself,
as I am really excited to learn more about cpanel!
