    Default SSH Not Working

    I have enabled JellShell access for an account but it's not working. It keeps saying "Access Denied". The IP, password and login are all correct and work in cPanel.

    Any ideas?

    A common issue is in a freshly installed SSH client, the settings are set to connect via telnet rather than SSH. You may want to double-check to ensure the client is set to connect via SSH.

    Thanks for the reply. I tried SSH and SSH2. Getting "Permission Denied" responses.

    Any other ideas?

    Try checking /var/log/messages, see what it has logged about these login attempts. That may help in diagnosing the cause of this issue.

    If your server has firewall software installed or is behind a network firewall, check that the port you use for SSH (default 22) is indeed open.
