Test License: Invalid public IP

Hi,

I wanted to trial Cpanel/WHM on a company server which sits behind a firewall.

In order to acquire the license a valid public IP of the server on which Cpanel is to be installed has to be provided.

I receive the following message.

"Missing a valid IP. <ipaddress> has been flagged by the cPanel Billing Dept."

How can I trial cpanel on a server behind a firewall?

You will have to contact cpanel first to get clearance

The response that I received from cPanel is as follows:

"we only license IP addresses that are publicly-visible & static. We do not license IP addresses that are dynamic, sticky, or internal."

Internal - that rules me out.

You can license this server with a couple of caveats:

* You would need to license the external IP of your network. This IP must be static.

* There can only be one cPanel server on your internal network. If our system detects more than one server, your license will be locked automatically.
