    Dear Tristan.

Below is the conversation we had with my support team.

Could you explain what he mean with i need to make sure your domain is added in cpanel ? I have cpanel login details already with new options for reseller WHM in Cpanel thought my package still show im on basic package so thats why he want me to update my registration with our .co.za registration and give them the new dns settings so that they can i suppose send the transfer ticket...from there my domain will be on reseller package.

WHM doesnt show my already registered domain in the features list or does it need to be added some were ?.

    Hope all makes sense,

    Please advise.

    Thank you in advance

    Johann.

    Good morning Johann

Firstly you need to make sure your domain is added in cpanel and once that is done you have to do domain update directly with co.za.
For info on how to do this please visit their website:
    co.za Domain Registration

    Regards

Your hosting provider would need to answer this question. This isn't anything to do with cPanel software itself, and it sounds like you are talking about changing domain nameservers, which would be required with your domain registrar and web hosting provider.

Please note that cPanel does not register domain names; cPanel does not provide web hosting services. As such, we wouldn't have details on what you would need to do at either location.

Not sure if I'll be helping or confusing the issue here but let me try.

Assuming you have a cPanel account with your host on server A, and the domain name you use there is already setup using specific nameservers. Those nameservers are setup (and changed) at your domain name registrar. Those nameservers point your domain to your current hosting account/server.

Now, you're purchasing a new Reseller account it sounds like to me, assuming from the same host, but your host puts Resellers on different servers than regular hosted accounts I guess, so, he has to move you to that new server, server B.

Server B uses different nameservers than server A, so, you'll need to login to your domain name registrar and edit the nameservers to use these new nameservers that your host has provided you with. When you do, your domain will then point to the new server, server B.

Could you explain what he mean with i need to make sure your domain is added in cpanel ?
Your host should be explaining this to you. This is a basic hosting question, you pay them for that hosting.

If you just purchased a second domain and wanted to add it to your existing cPanel account, first, you'll need to update the nameservers at your domain name registrar as briefly covered above. Next, you'd need to decide on adding this second domain as an addon domain, or a parked domain, to your existing cPanel account. You do that from your cPanel interface. You should see icons for addon domains and parked domains there.

A few other comments if I may:

Please don't reply to the emails the forum sends you notifying you of new replies to this topic. We do not provide any support from that email address.

    cPanel does not host websites.

Your host should be more helpful here in explaining the steps needed to move from one server to another server. If he's not being helpful, find a new host that is.

cPanel does not host, manage or transfer websites or domain names. cPanel provides the software server side that makes your host's job easier managing his hosted accounts, like yours.

I hope some of that proves helpful to you, good luck!

you can use either the code which is going there and check the connections of the transfering through the server and check the socket that is being used for the provision of the connections
