    Smile Updating website from Cpanel

    Hello!
I have just inherited a website that uses cpanel. I have made changes to the index.html file but they are now showing up on the actual website but they are showing in the file VIEW. How do I get my changes in the files to be live on the website?
    Thank You.

Just guessing, but have you checked to see if there is an index.php in the public_html/ directory as well? If no index.php, and you are editing the index.html in the public_html/ directory via cPanel File Manager, and then checking at this URL: website.com/index.html could it be a browser cache issue?

If you suspect you are cached based on what Infopro has mentioned, you could check the site in a proxy that won't be cached to see if it shows the updated page there. A couple of proxies would be proxify.net and kproxy.com
