Uploading Files directly from other sites

I need to upload a number of large files to my directory. All of them are hosted other websites right now. Normally I would download them to my home computer, and then upload them to my host using cpanel.

Is there any way I can get cpanel to download the files directly from these websites?

You could use SSH to do this. Login, navigate to your folder where you want to place the files, run this command.
wget http://thedomain.com/yourfile.zip
