virtual url as sub domain

I'm wondering if I can change the way virtual urls are assigned/work from mysite.com/~user to be a subdomain, user.mysite.com.
Is this possible through WHM?

You are able to setup subdomains on your domain.com in the new account area and that sub.domain.com will have it's own cPanel and features/plan you give it.
