Web Disk quit working...

I was using WebDav/WebDisk to access my web site, hosted on a company that uses the cPanel software. For a few months, it worked fine, but now I am having many problems.

I can log onto my WebDisk, and find all of the files, move them around, re-name them, etc., I just can't upload anything to the site.

I have tried working with my hosting company, and they are trying very hard, but they don't even know that the WebDisk uses the WebDAV protocol, so they haven't been of much help.

I am using two Macintosh computers, using OS 10.5.4. I do not know if the Web Disk quit working properly after a recent OS upgrade or not, I don't know. I did download the script for Leopard yesterday, but it still doesn't work right.

I experimented on my OS X 10.5.4 system and am experiencing similar issues on STABLE. I recommend having your hosting provider submit a support ticket regarding this issue so we can address this matter appropriately.

I think there is something wrong with the script that is downloaded. If I go to Finder-->Go--->Connect to server and read in

http://domain.com:2077

The web disk seems to work fine...well, it does now. I never discount the phase of the moon as a factor in anything involving computers.

Note, by default, we use SSL for Web Disk (https on port 2078). There are currently known issues with attempting to use DAV support over SSL from a Mac OS X 10.5.4 workstation.

Using Web Disk without SSL will function as you have pointed out.
