What is the url for password protection login

I've set up password protection in Cpanel on some pages but I need to allow Google's adsense bot to get past my login page.

There is an authentication page at Adsense.

As well as entering the url of the restricted page or directory, I need to enter the authentication url.
The example they give is https://www.example.com/auth.cgi

What I need to know is where I find what value to enter there.

a) Any page that is password protected should be a sufficient "authentication URL", as it will prompt for a user/pass.

b) You could also try excluding the Googlebot IPs from the auth requirement. An example list of Google IPs: http://www.iplists.com/google.txt
