Whats the best choose?

hello everyone,
my server is Xeon 2.4Gx2 , 2G ECC DDR, 36G SCSI(15K)x2 with RAID1, last days, i running this Server with FreeBSD 4.9 and the lastest ver of Cpanel/WHM, but my server autoreboot every 1~24 hour, i have try RA3, but RA3 makes a lot of problam to me and the netmaster, now i want to install FreeBSD on my server. i don't know which version is good with my server+Cpanel/WHM, FreeBSD4.8 ? FreeBSD 4.9 ? or FreeBSD 5.x ?

If your system is randomly rebooting and you're not using a custom kernel, then it sounds like a hardware issue.

With cPanel you can use any of our supported OSes. The best decision is to choose the one with which you're most competent.

i use FreeBSD4.8 now, server is ok. i think FreeBSD4.9 and my server a hardware issu i can't use.
now has a big problam, users can ftp into server without password, i'am looking some help, i think i will be crazyz~ i use a month time for this server and cpanel reinstall for 10 times of os, and reinstall >50 times of cpanel in this server so crazy

Make a sym link between /usr/bin/uname and /bin/uname. This is a known issue and has been addressed in Edge builds.
