Unhappy What's next after transfering accounts?

    Hello,
I have transfered the accounts from my old server to the new one.
I have problems setting up the dns, apache and I don't know what else needed
for the accounts to start working properly.
All I need is for the reseller acount xyz.gr to have the IP 62.1.205.115,
NS1.XYZ.GR ->62.1.205.115, NS2.XYZ.GR->62.1.205.116 and the rest of the
accounts under xyz.gr to have the IP 62.1.205.116.
    What are the next steps?
    Thank you,
    Theodore.

you should have planed this out ahead of time ? the way you have started you will hve old data on the server before the DNS propagates

1 change the ip of xyz.gr to 62.1.205.115 in WHM

    2. have your client change his nameservers at his registar to NS1.XYZ.GR ->62.1.205.115, NS2.XYZ.GR->62.1.205.116 to point to those IP 's

3 change all of your clients sites to point to 62.1.205.116 if you havn't all ready done so
    when you transferred

    4. in reseller center change the Manage Main Shared/Ipless Ip to 62.1.205.11

If you were unsure how to do this with 0 downtime you should have hired someone do do this for you there are plenty of people here on the forums including myself that would have done this for you

Thank you for the info dalem,
I am looking to hire a more experienced than me to help me out with such problems.
So I can pay you any way you want.
I would like you to give me your email so that we can talk privately!

Actually, If you still have access to the old site(where you came from) you should change those nameservers to point to your new ones, that way you will have nearly 0 downtime while your clients change their nameserver ips at the domain level.

Other options are to decrease the TTL significantly, I change it to 10 minutes , at least 24 hours before moving the site(assuming your TTL is 14400 which is default on zone records.)

The first one will help you fix up your downtime issues, the second one would have prevented it.

    Hello,
I have done all the steps that dalem has described except step 4 where he mentions the ip 62.1.205.11 which I don't have.
Nevertheless when I point my browser to the site xyz.gr I receive the error message the page cannot be displayed!
    Whats wrong!

    4. in reseller center change the Manage Main Shared/Ipless Ip to 62.1.205.115

or whatever your primary ip is.
