    Default WHM Basic setup

    Hi all,
i have a WHM VPS server and i have setup the "Server Contact E-Mail Address" in basic setup with my email. I have to set this email somewhere else in order get notifications about account upgrades/downgrades, new package creation etc? Because with this configuration i get no notifications at all

    Thanx in advance

Yes, you also need to configure "Change System Mail Preferences"

In WHM you will find one option called as "Change System Mail Preferences" there you will find an option to forward mails sent to root user to some email address. All the servers notification mails are sent to root which you can forward to some other email address

The two posts quoted above are correct; for more information on how to configure and use the system mail preferences feature I recommend reviewing the following areas of documentation:
    Change System Mail Preferences
    Contact Manager

The menu paths for the above are as follows:
WHM: Main >> Server Contacts >> Change System Mail Preferences
WHM: Main >> Server Contacts >> Contact Manager

Thank u all of you for the response!

I have put my email in
    1.Server Configuration->Basic cPanel/WHM Setup->Server Contact E-Mail Address
2.Server contacts->Change system email preferences (all 3 fields)
3.In contact manager my mail is in the Alert Destination, Email is in high priority,
i have changed the priority to high in some other fields also, like upgrade/downgrade, account creation etc
    but still nothing!

My mail account works fine cause i can sent and recieve emails normally!

    Thank u

Put your servers domain name into a tool such as this one: intoDNS: checks DNS and mail servers health to check it for errors then. There might be something configured incorrectly somewhere else on the server preventing it from sending to you.

Is the e-mail account hosted locally on the same server, or is it hosted on a different server?

Via root SSH access, please use the following command to monitor the Exim log for information about attempted SMTP transactions or deliveries (both outbound and inbound):
    Code:
    # tail -fvn0 /var/log/exim_mainlog
While monitoring the Exim log file via the above command, please then attempt to trigger an e-mail such as by using to WHM to perform an account creation, removal, suspension, unsuspension, upgrade, or downgrade.

Please note that simply creating a package via WHM will not trigger an e-mail.

    HI,
i have been busy for a while thats why i havent answered for so long.

My email is hosted in another server not in the server that i have the administration.

As far as the SSH access, i cannot login via SSH for some reason. I get the error "Network error Connection refused"

E.G: When i had an account as a reseller in the VPS server, i could get all the mails with no problem. Now that my account is updated i have root access and no email.

I dont know if these help.

    Thanx for your time guys!

With SSH access not working or perhaps being restricted it will be difficult to investigate. I recommend escalating the issue to the service provider that hosts the system; they should be able to access the (VPS) system directly and check applicable log files (such as the Exim mail server logs) and troubleshoot further.

    Greetings from Greece,

Are you getting a specific error message when trying to connect via SSH?
