ClamAV can be installed through WHM for an antivirus scanner

If you are using Fedora or ubuntu then Dr.Web is an alternative option available for you. Please refer http://download.drweb.com/linux/.

    To clarify:

Fedora Core is no longer supported for new installations of cPanel/WHM.

Ubuntu is not supported by cPanel at all.

The cPanel/WHM update mechanism will update ClamAV.

Email scanning by ClamAV is automatic and individual users can scan their web space for viruses if they desire by clicking the icon for ClamAV in their cPanel interface.

So not to start another topic, I have a related question:
by default, Cpanel's clamav is scanning both incoming and outgoing e-mails?
I ask because in my situation, only incoming e-mail are scanned.

    Thank you

Outbound emails are not scanned by ClamAv.

Only inbound email is scanned in a cPanel/WHM environment.

If your installation of ClamAV is unable to detect contemporary viruses, you may want to ensure that it is successfully updating its virus database periodically.
