    Default cpu/mem usage too high with big sql query (creating DB)

    Hi,

    It seems that, on our server, when someone does a large sql query in phpmyadmin, putting a mysql dump in a new DB, I see this proces in top:



    As you can see it uses a *lot* of the available memory and the result is that the server slows down heavily. Are there any ways to overcome this? Restricted the memory usage for phpmyadmin? I don't have a clue... any help greatly appreciated.

    If you see any vars in that screenshot which aren't really good... you may also comment.
