    Default Database deletion problems

    Hello,

I came here to see if maybe someone can help me out with a problem.

It seems that my database, out of the blue, will automatically delete itself for no apparent reason. The site will load fine one day and then the next day it's down. I would then login to cpanel and go to the database area to find that it no longer exists. Luckily I have a backup of the DB, but still I shouldn't have to restore it everyday.

If anyone out there could be of some assistance it would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you,

    Finn

There may be possible that your Cpanel password got compromised and your account got hacked. Kindly keep a practice to change your Cpanel/FTP password on regular basis. Also, upgrade the versions of any third party installed software regularly.

If you have root access then check the Cpanel log entries from the following file:

    /var/cpanel/logs

Check all the crons running in the server.

For safety you need to change ftp password and cpanel password.Take regular backups of your site.
