    Question Database is not updating on 11.28.86 - (mysql v5.0.92-community)

    Hello

    On my server i am using the latest 11.28.86 and i have set to autoupdate sql but it seems that i can't go to the latest cpanel sql version 5.1.55

    I am using Centos 5.5 and from the error when i was updating cpanel i got an error fetching the new sql .rpm file

    Any ideas?

    Could you please post the exact error message that you received?

    I was check it when the update was running and i don't know exactly the error ....

    Which file keep this error so i can check it?

    Please re-run the MySQL upgrade command to force an update, then provide the error message. I'm uncertain what ran previously to know what log would show the error:

    No errors.

    It seems like cpanel doesn't know that a new version is there and always is installing this version 5.0.92-community....

    We test the rpms prior to allowing them for MySQL to ensure it works properly without any bugs with our product. You do have to stay within the version we provide. I'm a bit confused why an error was mentioned previously for fetching the rpm files when now no actual error did occur, though:

    Have you used the MySQL Upgrade UI in WHM to switch your MySQL version to 5.1? Until you do so cPanel & WHM will attempt to install the latest 5.0 RPMs, which your system is configured for.

    Yes i was check there the v5.0

    I check now the 5.1 and run from whm the upgrade to 5.1 and i got this:

    This is what it is supposed to do. It isn't the same rpm, but the various rpms (MySQL-shared, MySQL-devel, MySQL-client, MySQL-test) needed for MySQL 5.1 to function. It first prepares, then installs the rpm. Did you let the process complete?
