    Default Fedora Core 2 Support

Is core 2 now officially supported? The only threads I can find note that there are some protions which do not work correctly.

    Thanks,

Angry It won't install on Fedora 2

It maybe so but I've freshly installed 2 Fedora 2 servers and in both servers, the sh latest gives me error about some misconfigurations on /etc/yum.conf file

So I modified the file by changing http://download.fedora.redhat.com/... to http://fedora.redhat.com/

After that, sh latest works but giving me a bunch of errors, like below, before it just stopped

Compilation failed in require at /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/interchange/lib/Vend/Table/GDBM.pm line 29.
    BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/interchange/lib/Vend/Table/GDBM.pm line 29.
Compilation failed in require at /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/interchange/bin/interchange line 197.
    BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/interchange/bin/interchange line 221.

Anyone knows a way to fix this please?

Default still not working on fedora 2

I already submitted the ticket yesterday, but still no response from the cpanel people.

How did you get it to work on fedora 2? Did you install fedora 2 as custom or just server? What cpu is your server?

What command you typed to install cpanel?

How do you switch from edge to exim?

Any help would be very much appreciated, as cpanel people don't seem to care here about the issue. Thank you

Use the attached yum.conf. I grabbed it from http://www.fedorafaq.org and modified it slightly. I removed Livna.org mirrors because of questionable license issues. Other than that it worked like a charm.

jmetcalf , your yum.conf fixed it perfectly. cPanel should have something to update the yum.conf a little better. So many errors were on a couple of our cpanel servers cause we couldn't find the right mirrors.

It still appears to me that CPanel is not 100% ready for Fedora Core 2 (maybe 99%). I see the message below in my daily cron. The whole directory for /fedora/2/ still does not exist yet on CPanel's update servers as of this date. This database appears to check for hacked versions of certain programs. Since I run rkhunter and chkrootkit it's more of an annoyance than an issue.

I have noticed the same things. It seems that perhaps they should not have changed their supported OS's to include Fedora Core 2 so quickly. I do not mind testing it for them, I just whish I knew whether or not they were going to address the issues that almost all the fedora core users are seeing.

buildapache seems to break with GD support due to the Xorg move.
