Default MySQL status is "failed", but the service is up and running

    Hello,

The mysql service in whm shows as failed, but through shell, when I type service mysql status, it says ok. Moreover, my sites are running perfectly. When I try to restart the service through WHM I get:

    Waiting for mysql to restart..............finished.

    mysqld_safe (/bin/sh /usr/bin/mysqld_safe --datadir=/var/lib/mysql --pid-file=/var/lib/mysql/server.rrjet.net.pid) running as root with PID 5035
    mysqld (/usr/sbin/mysqld --basedir=/ --datadir=/var/lib/mysql --user=mysql --log-error=/var/log/mysqld.log --pid-file=/var/lib/mysql/server.rrjet.net.pid) running as mysql with PID 5096

mysql has failed, please contact the sysadmin (result was "mysql has failed").
    Any ideas?

    TIA

PS: Tried: restarting server, service through shell (says Success!), upgrading to 5.1

    Default

fixed! I reset the mysql root password through WHM (not through shell, that wouldn't solve my problem)
