Try to connect using 'localhost' as MySQL server host.

I'm having the same issue installing a fresh copy from the oscommerce site. I'm running textpattern on the same domain but it doesn't like to play with osc.

so i installed the cart on shop.mydomain.com and in the installation it does not like connecting to localhost (access denied).
