Unhappy Perl.Santy making /forum folder unaccessible

    Hello everyone

My friend's server caught Perl.Santy, he was using an old version of phpBB.

His site is ok, he has access to everything, except to the folder 'forum'
Can't open it, can't change permissions... Not in an ftp client either.

Does anyone know if I can get the rights back on that folder? If so, how?
Everything I try to do to it now fails... I hope someone can help me

    AJ

if the permissions have been taken away; then i guess u willl have to get to your host to retrieve it. It will be easy for them to make the change.

    Merry Christmas !!

    o.o

Allright. Umm, installed fresh in forums instead of forum...
Used a new database prefix... But when I change it back to the old database, this is what I get:

    phpBB : Critical Error

Could not open ashGrunge template config file

    DEBUG MODE

    Line : 335
    File : /home/xxx/public_html/forums/includes/functions.php
Anyone here have any experience with this? Or should I just try it on the phpbb forums?

Nearly any FTP client will allow you to change the permissions on a folder. Simply open the folder containing the busted folder, and select "chmod" or "properties". Compare the values to a working folder and reset them to what they should be.

    Happy Christmas
