phpBB 2 install problems? [moved]

HEY I CREATED A SUB-DOMAIN AND LOADED ALL THE NECESARY FILES BUT WHEN I GO TO LOAD IT I GET A MSG THAT READS: The PHP configuration on your server doesn't support the database type that you chose

I'VE TRIED EVERYTHING I CAN THINK OF:

localhost
hostname
dsn name
127.0.0.1.

I HAVE NO IDEA ANYMORE. I USE HOST MANAGER. PLEASE HELP!!!!!


OH AND SO MY LAST ATTEMPT I DELTED THE FILES AND PUT THEM IN THE access_db folder BUT NOW THE INSTALL PAGE WON'T EVEN POP UP! WHAT SHOULD I DO??

Are you using the script installer that comes with cPanel, or are you installing phpBB on your own?
if it's on your own, you'll need to head to the phpBB support website at http://www.phpbb.com, as this is the cPanel support forum, and the WHM section.

I'd suggest just using the script installer, though.
