Angry Phpmyadmin Cpanel - Not able to export as MSExcel format

    Hi,

I am not able to export mysql DB from phpmyadmin which is installed along with cpnael as MS EXCEL format.Only this format is not working. Remaining all formats working fine. Why is this happening?

    I am getting error:

    Error: <br />
<b>Fatal error</b>: Out of memory (allocated 253231104) (tried to
    allocate 16 bytes) in
    <b>/usr/local/cpanel/base/3rdparty/phpMyAdmin/libraries/PHPExcel/PHPExcel/Worksheet.php</b>
    on line <b>942</b><br />

I have increased the memory_limit in php.ini file to 1024MB also.even though no luck.

Can someone help me with regard to this?

    Thanks in advance,
    Astal

I'm facing same issue but regarding to Import from Excel. I see there are empty columns in the middle of Excel table then delete them. Now Excel import working fine.

If you believe this is not a memory issue then try to Export/Import only small rows and see if this issue occurs. HTH.

Failure to export data in Excel format is due to a bug in a library used by phpMyAdmin: PHPExcel - PHPExcel - View Issue #13151: Memory leak

    Hi garconcn,

I believe this is still a problem. It may be due to the leak mentioned in Issue #13151 or another, unknown, leak. Or, it may be just a limitation revolving our the design of the export functionality and the fact the data vs. Excel format.

I personally think it's a combination of both. I would recommend exporting a CSV file and importing that into Excel. If you do that, at least you're guaranteed to extract all the data from the phpMyAdmin export function. Otherwise, the Excel2000 writer in phpMyAdmin will truncate at approximately 65k rows due to the limitation within the Excel 2000 format.
