Default problems with database format after upgraded cpanel to 3x

since the upgrade when I go to check my databases instead of the tables all being in a neat row, the database looks a mess the rows run in together instead of having one row for each table. the tables are fine when I check via the WHM cpanel (repair database) but not in the cpanel. Help and please explain as it to a 3 year old as I am not an IT skilled person and this is all new to me.

    Please assist
