Default SQL Backups are zero bytes

    Hi,
I hope you can help. I operate a forum and daily backups of the database are required.
I am a new cPanel customer and I can't figure out what I am doing wrong... if I use the backup function in cPanel, it results in an instand download of zero bytes, even though the database is hundreds of megabytes.

Is this a well known issue and if so, what is the solution?

Are you performing this action as the cPanel account user or as a reseller user?

Well, I guess you just identified the problem for me... I just tried it as the cPanel account user and it works properly now.
It's an unusual quirk this... why would it not work for the server administrator?

    Thanks for you help BTW

Although the admin is logged into the user's cPanel account, the admin does not have access to the user's password, which is needed to interact with MySQL.
