    Default sql databases created by magic

    I updated cpanel on my server last night to WHM 11.15.0 cPanel 11.18.3-C21703

    Now every account on the server with a site that uses an sql db running....has another empty sql db showing in sql databases and cpanel stats show them as using an extra db.

    Any ideas or fixes for this bug?

    Would these magical databases be schema databases?

    They're just empty databases that have the same name as the cpanel login name but without the specific database name at the end.

    Update to the latest version of cPanel/WHM. I believe this issue has been resolved.

    We have this problem, too.

    Will the "fix" remove all these databases, or just it just stop more from being created?

    hmm...

    I'm not really into updating to the edge version.

    stable is what I use so I reckon I can live with it for now.

    Hi! I've detected the same problem, and noted that this was an issue I've been ignoring with previous versions of cPanel. Accounts created with latest cPanel versions are not generating these empty dbs in new accounts.
