update backend scripts and phpmyadmin problem

Hi there,
i got two problems :

first , when i'm trying to use the "update backend scripts" function , the system cannot fetch
anything from cpanel update:

Sync Source: http://httpupdate.cpanel.net/STABLE/scripts
Fetching http://httpupdate.cpanel.net/cpanels...lock....Trying httpupdate.cpanel.net @ 69.72.164.152
Error 404 while fetching url http://httpupdate.cpanel.net//cpanel...panelsync.lock
...Done

... and so on till it quits.

the second problem is when i'm trying to enter phpmyadmin from whm it returns me error with
incorrect user/password.

Any ideea?
