What is installed with cPanel?

Hi all

I have been searcing the google for last couple of hours but no luck.
What I would like to know is "What is installed with cPanel?" e.g. apache, mysql ....
I thinking of moving from shared hosting plan to a vps or semi dedicated plan I need this info.

Everything that you need to run a hosting server is included with cpanel. Apache, mysql, smtp/pop/imap, ftp, etc. are all included by default.

Just about all cpanel servers are the same (unless someone manually customizes it) so anything on your cpanel shared host should be on a new cpanel vps/server

Cpanel has everything you need for basic administration of your server
and all the services needed to run a web hosting service on your server
including the following as some of the major components:

Apache 1.3 (not recommended), 2.0.63, or 2.2.11
MySQL Database Server
PgSQL Database Server (Optional)
PHP as DSO or SuPHP
DNS Server w/Cluster Abilities (Choice of Two)
Mail Server (Choice of Two)
FTP Server - (Choice of Two / Pure-FTPd recommended)
Optional: Mod_Security Apache Defense

That would be a very extensive list. Cpanel servers generally have
just about everything imaginable and if by chance you are looking
for something unusual in particular that doesn't come with Cpanel
by default, it's generally a simple matter to add yourself.

I am well versed in multiple perspectives as a front end user, as
a professional level backend programmer, and low level systems
administrator in just about every control panel environment on
the market today and I can tell you that Cpanel by far has the
most included by default with it of any others out there so
anything you are coming from would be an upgrade moving
to Cpanel if that answers your question.
