All my servers crash randomly why is that?

hey guys i have noticed my servers stay up for about 2 to 3 minutes before they crash any ideas?

Please provide as much detail as you can so peeps can respond and provide some advice!

eg: Server logs, a description of your server, cpu memory etc.

If it's a VPS and you want it to run like a Ferrari then I'd seriously think about upgrading to a dedicated server with more grunt.

I had this issue on a server. It would take about an hour after a reboot and it would crash. I would look in the logs and find nothing. It turned out to be a hardware error.

Make sure you have sysstat installed and collecting metrics. Perhaps there is something causing high loads after the restart. If it happens in 2-3 minutes sysstat may not catch it but it is a good tool to have on your system.

Another idea is to start in single user mode and then go to init level 3 and monitor how the server behaves.

thanks guys for all your help i will install sysstat and look into server loads etc..

my server has 4 cores clocked at 2.8 if im not mistaken

and i dont remember how much memory but i will check that out too

If you'd like, put in a ticket for me and I'll take a look, it may be something obvious I can spot in `dmesg` or `top`, etc.
