    Default Brand new at this

Hi everyone I recently bought a VPS and I figured id get my use out of it by installing a counter strike source server on it too but the problem is im totally new to this, I installed cPGS and I went through the steps to installing a counter strike source server but one of the problems is in cpanel itself it keeps telling me I have to install the game server when its already installed and I did it twice and it still said the same thing. In root on WHM I have no clue if im suppose to run a command line or what, if there are any tutorials out there or anything could someone please link me?

    Thanks
    Mike

There was recently a major update to the CS:S server from Steam. To be sure everything is up to date, do a "forced reinstall" in WHM for cPGS, it's a link on the first cPGS page you see in in WHM. Even if it says 0.7.3, there was a sub version released that has an update for CS:S that you may not have unless updated. There is also a new server package file, all the mirrors should have this already, but in case you still have problems when installing a CS:S server, try downloading the cstrikesrc.cpgs package from cpgs.network3.net . If none of that helps, put in a ticket for me so I can take a look.

if you have a VPS, you will have all your ports open already. So how are you coming along??

There is a list of most games and the default ports that need to be open for each, you may need to get the network admin for the machine to be sure these are open in case of an external firewall or iptables rules on the VPS's "master" host.
