Call of Duty 4 server stalls

Hello,

we also installed COD4 for another customer as a trial, and he can control the server through his cpanel. The cpgsd logs show:

However, the customer states:

Server wont say running. It shows its on and I try to join the server and it
doesn’t show up in gaming console. Then I go back into cpanel and its off.

There are no other log entries at all though.

Sounds like the game is crashing during startup. Does the error log have any useful info in it ? What happens when trying to start the server as the user via SSH ?
