Can not connect to remote socket. (again!)

Hi,

Ive read the other post about not being able to connect to socket with CPGS. Im running (trying to run) a cod4 server on my VPS. Ive set it up and im getting this.

Game Server Status
Can not connect to remote socket.
IO::Socket::INET configuration failederror:00000000:lib(0):func(0):reason(0)
This can caused by a few things:

* The cPGSD server is not running on 127.0.0.1:2092
* There is a firewall blocking access to 127.0.0.1:2092
* 127.0.0.1 is not the right IP and/or 2092 is not the right port
* Solar Flares (Please contact support to investigate)

Ive tried yum install openssl-devel and yum install gcc but im getting "Nothing to Do" so i assume there already installed.. Any ideas? Ive asked the admins to make sure port 2092 is unblocked and apparently it is.

Can you see any processes like this (see below) via ps acx?

23749 ?        Zs     0:00 cpgs_cron.pl <defunct>
23857 ?        S      0:02 cpgsd.pl

If not, as your post says...

* The cPGSD server is not running on 127.0.0.1:2092

Ah nothing is running similar to those below! A) Why would they not be running?
B) How can i start them and make them start on boot?

I don't know why it would be down.
I haven't seen this problem before, so I would have no idea how to get it running.

srobinson - What do you get when starting cpgsd as root via ssh ?
Just run `/var/cpanel/cpgsd.pl` to start it. If you'd like, put in a ticket so I can take a look and get it started.
