Cannot start BF1942 servers

To make this the 3rd current issue at the moment (im about to put in a ticket about HL Darren):

When trying to start a BF1942 server it just keeps refreshing the start button, starting from ssh gives the following:

Game seems to have installed correctly and im not seeing any other errors.

cPGS doesn't use the start.sh script that is there to start the server, that is a red herring in your troubleshooting process. To find out how a game is normally started by cPGS, check the saved startup command line file that is created each time a game is started. for instance the bf1942 command line for my user "cpgs" :

# cat /var/cpanel/gameserv_saved/cpgs_bf1942_0
/home/cpgs/.gameservers/bf1942_0/bf1942_lnxded

That server needs no arguments as all is handled in the config files. Be sure when you launch it that you do so as the user, not as root, since it may try to create log files and such as the user it's started with and you'll end up in a situation where the regular user can't start the server because it can't open files/directories for writing anymore because they are owned by root.
If this is happening on the same server as the HL stuff, you might as well mention it in the ticket too
