    Default cPGS 0.5.3

A minor release but it can make a big difference. The main thing in this is that even if the browser is closed or the connection times out, the server will continue installing in the background. Another big deal that I've been wanting to push in is that it now does all the installation as the user, not root and then chowning the files over. This should help prevent a security race-of-sorts issue a malicious user might use to exploit to do bad things(tm).

    # Updated installer to continue installing game even if browser is closed to times out
    # Increased security when installing by dropping permissions to user while installing rather than chowning files afterwards
    # Added some more verbose messages when installer runs into common problems
    # Added location to server mirrors list in WHM
    # Fixed bug with Americas Army downloading in WHM

As always, let me know of any problems with it.

    Just updated.

No gamepackages in Download Game Server page.

    [Edit]
After just opening Global Config in WHM, and just press Save button then the packages are showing in Download page.

I had updated the ut2004 package while debugging an install problem with it for a ticket, but afterwards realized the package was fine, so I downloaded the original from a mirror so the file is the same as it was before, just the timestamp changed. Sorry for the confusion on that.

Is anyone else seeing the same issue with having to save the gameserver packages in WHM before they show up again on the download page ?

The TS installer doesn't actually pull from the mirrors, it downloads it and packages it on the fly. Can you run the following ok via ssh from the server ?

    `wget ftp://ftp.freenet.de/pub/4players/teamspeak.org/releases/ts2_server_rc2_202319.tar.bz2`

Why do you have them setup to /backup/ ?

Not here, but AA still won't download. Same message as before the upgrade. (not that I want aa, just helping out with this a bit.)

Thats a harddrive that have extra backup facilities. A lot is going to there, and also transfered to another server. Should be no problem that location. Started with that from the beginning (cpgs 0.1 orso) with no problems.

    Wink

AA is fine here as well now. Problem at my end playing around with the global config file.

You can use pretty much any path/directory you want for the gameserver files, /backup/ is fine. I wouldn't suggest an NFS/Samba mounted directory though. Danny_T - if you are still seeing problems with the TeamSpeak package downloader, put in a ticket and I'll take a look.

Ok, i found out the cpanel server did had a big big load the whole night.
cpanel backups where also still running aswel as other cronjobs.

7 cpgsd processes where running to get the teamspeak tar.
All of them with CPU usage between 10-30%

I killed it this morning and waited with testing until server was cooled down with all the tasks.
At this moment the load is back to normal.

    I try it again......

Ok, it was highlated as light red now (corrupted package).
Did start download and it downloaded it.

The TS server package will always show as newer than official package since it's built on the fly. Having it do that was about the best way I could include it in a standardized way with the other server packages. It sounds like it's ok now, however I'm interested in what caused the load from the scripts that apparently got hung up on something. Is anyone seeing anything like that or know how I might reproduce it ?
