CPGS and CoD4

I just think, where can i change settings like : disabling PB, changing MOD's......???

server.cfg and mods can be manaaged by editing the relevant files via your FTP.

You'll need to conect using a FTP program, CoreFTP, FlashFXP etc.

You could use the file manager built into cPanel i would imagine, but you would need to ensure that the account has the x or x3 theme on it. As the gs (gameserver) theme doenst have this functionality.

for CoD4, make sure the server is stopped, download
/home/me/.gameservers/cod4_1/main/default_mp.cfg , edit it and upload it back. You can also edit the main config files for most games in cPanel/cPGS in the "avanced config editor" section.

When i make my config over advanced mode , it dosn't work.
A want to use pam4 mod and disable PB but it's not working.

What i do wrong ??

If you use a mod, the path to the config file used usually changes, in which case you'll need to edit the correct config file via ftp. Check the mods documentation on which file(s) to edit for it.

when i edit this file and save , options writed dont work. Why ??

Does the mod use a different config file than the default ? If so, changes in cPGS won't affect the config that gets used by the mod. Does it work normally without the mod ?

for changing mods you would have to edit the command line. i think this is why they are confused about what files to edit. for the call of duty series they have always suggested creating a new folder outside of the Main directory and then passing fs_game on the command line to load the mods from the new folder. in call of duty 4 this is almost forced on you as anything in the main folder other than the original game files or configs will cause the server to run as a modified server without any sort of ranks.


the same is true for punkbuster. you cannot set it to enabled or disabled from the config, it will remain enabled until you edit the command line to disable it.
