    Default cpgs failing

    Hi,

I have been successfully running cpgs on my server for 6 months or so. Recently I have not been able to manage my gameserver using cpgs. Oddly my UT2004 gameserver is running at the moment, but when I try to go to the cpgs console my game does not show up.

I am getting hundreds of emails from the server relating to the problem. I have not been able to correct this after many attempts.

Here are the two messages I am getting over and over again:

You need the XS Version of Scalar::Util for dualvar() support at Makefile.PL line 58.
    Can't locate IO/Socket/SSL.pm in @INC (@INC contains: /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.5/i386-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.5 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.5/i386-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.4/i386-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.3/i386-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.2/i386-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.1/i386-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.0/i386-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.5 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.4 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.3 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.2 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.1 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.0 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.5/i386-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.4/i386-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.3/i386-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.2/i386-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.1/i386-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.0/i386-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.5 /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.4 /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.3 /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.2 /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.1 /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.8.0 /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl / /var/cpanel/cpgs) at /var/cpanel/cpgsd.pl line 68.
    BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /var/cpanel/cpgsd.pl line 68.

and I am also getting this message:

/bin/bash: /usr/local/cpanel/bin/cpgs_chk: No such file or directory

I have tried many avenues to resolve this. I'm hoping someone here will have some ideas for me.

    Thanks!

    Jon T.

Sounds like a handful of problems on top of each other. If you can, put in a ticket so I can take a look.

    Default trouble ticket submitted

    Darren,

I have just put in a trouble ticket. It went in as a low priority ticket. I understand that has something to do with the fact that I pay the data center for cpanel instead of directly to cpanel.

Please be on the lookout for my trouble ticket!

    Thanks,

    Jon T.

Thanks, got it and replied, if you see anymore problems with it, let me know in the ticket. for anyone else who happens to get these same problems, change the paths to the cpgs scripts in /etc/crontab to the ones in /var/cpanel/cpgs/ and do a forced reinstall of Scalar::Util and /var/cpanel/cpgsd.pl should be able to install what it needs and start up.
