cPGS remote from cPanel server (different datacenters)

I'm wondering if the connection from the cPGS server to the cPanel server needs a fast connection (like same network) or if the cPanel server can manager cPGS servers in remote datacenters without causing issues to the gameservers themselves (interface understandably a little slower in cPanel)?

The communication between the frontend and backend is about the same amount of traffic as an https request. when using a single server it still uses the server/client design (just with 127.0.0.1 rather than a remote IP) so it should work as you assumed, reasonably fast, just a slightly longer wait (200ms?) while it talks to the remote server in cPanel. The servers themselves would run at normal speed for the server/datacenter they are at, players can't see any difference in-game.
