cPGS remote servers.

Hey Guys n Gals,
This may have been asked before, but I need to know.

Can cPGS work on debian (4.0 and up). Reason why I ask, is because I know debian isn't and probably wont ever be supported by cPanel/WHM and I'm wondering if its the same case for the remote version of cPGS.
Also does the remote servers create individual FTP accs and home DIRs.

I've had several tickets from folks using Debian as the remote server. The main problems there are not having things like gcc, openssl (libssl-dev) and such installed. It's not hard to get it working but it's not automatically done either. I might like to get a list together of OSes that need help and keep them on the main site for folks to reference.
The remote support thus far is limited to generic cPGS installation, account creation and termination and of course running the servers. As mentioned many times before, it's not feasible to support ftp accounts directly due to the infinite number of ftp server configurations folks can put on their servers. You'd need to allow regular system users to ftp, thereby creating an ftp account when the system account is created.

Hey,
I installed Fedora 7, had to install the perl packages manually.
Any how I have an issue..
While cPGS installs the servers fine via the WHM interface, users cannot see it in cPanel...
Did I miss something?

I have narrowed it down, and I'm beginning to think it may be a bug...
If you set a password for the remote cPGS user, it seems to drop the server off the users cpanel game server list...

Any Ideas?

Correction:
These are the steps that I take when the error occurs and under that are the steps that resolve the issue (how ever they are not permanent).

--Normal Method--

1. Make cPanel Acc
2. goto the game server module
3. select acc
4. core config
5. set it to remote server IP
6. setup permissions in manage game (WHM side)
7. give user a remote acc via cpgs, set ip and port for game.
8. install game
9. goto cPanel
10. dont see didly, except for the gametypes box, nothing more..

--Work Around--

1. Make cPanel Acc
2. goto the game server module
3. select acc
4. core config
5. set it to remote server IP
6. setup permissions in manage game (WHM side)
   
7. give user a remote acc via cpgs - Did not set IP or Port
8. loginto clients cPanel
9. install game
10. click on manage game link
11. start/stop server
12. works

I have issued a ticket in regards to this matter.
