DOD:S or HL2

When using the new version of cPGS, do you set the game as DOD:S or HL2 for a DOD:S server? The reason I'm asking is, Darren looked at the server earlier, and got it runing, but when I tried to put Mani Mod on it, it wouldn't work, and so I'm trying to reinstall a base server to see if that will work... and I'm having problems getting them to start (I've updated the ticket from earlier Darren if you have time to look at it )

I used DOD:S and install/ran first time. I havn't got around to installing any addons for it yet but will put sourcemod on a.s.a.p my advice is to stay clear of mani admin as it has too many problems! also make sure you are using the updated metamod source! Metamod:Source - News

0.7.3 could have done with an option to just install the orangebox base! as this would help with many addon mods.

The ###########'s in the paths are my addition, the paths in the log are right.. So not sure why this is occuring, but it wont start

Your launch options are fine!

If you read what is wrong i.e at line 1689:

my $pid = open3("<&STDIN", ">&STDOUT", ">&STDERR", $startscript);


It looks like your server is trying to start with an old pid number!

try deleting /home/###########/.gameservers/dodsrc_0/dodsrc.pid

Then restart the server!

Deleted that file.. and tried to restart and still get:

I've deleted my install & image redownloaded, installed again and server started first time

Things to try:

1) force a reinstall of cPGS to 0.7.3
2) Delete the dod:s game image and try another mirror
3) Make sure autoupdate is on

If all fails give Darren a shout

I think this case came from autoupdate not working due to firewall blocking connections to Steam. In any event, if you can't get steam working from the command line, like it just hangs, turn off your firewall/stop iptables and then try, that is almost always the problem with starting steam based games.
