    Are you getting any error message during the installation?

    We've now gotten the COD4 game files installed, how ever we can not get the game server to start. We've gotten other game servers to start, just not COD4

    Thanks,
    Tim

    It's trying to start under these conditions,

    Opening IP socket: 208.74.121.106:28965
    Hostname: gs.cpanel.net
    Alias: gs
    Alias: cpgs
    Alias: cpgs.cpanel.net
    IP: 208.74.121.106

    Under the advanced settings, theres are the launch settings that are showing up,

    net_ip 70.38.45.62
    net_port 12002
    ip=70.38.45.62
    maxplayers=32

    Thanks,
    Timmy

    d00d, this is cPanel's IP. 208.74.121.106

    You need to configure the server for your IP.

    I've tried setting the IP to my ip serveral times, and it still doesn't take effect.

    This is how it shows up in cPanel,

    Clearly the IP is there. I'm afraid I'm at a loss though, other servers start up just fine.

    crazzyt9 - If you are still having trouble with it, put in a ticket for me so I can take a look at what is going on.

    Okay, we're installing it on another account to see if its a problem with the account we're installing it on, if this fails I'll put in a ticket

    Thanks,

    I had similar probem with installation. It like installed fine. However when to log into server with FTP there was only one folder of game and cople files.

    When logged into cpanel to launch it, then it gave me message "please install server" and installation link. When clicked on it, same result. No difference with creating new users and trying manually. still the same. Like installation crashes in middle of install. I sent ticket in, however havent heard anything of this yet. I hope to get this solved quickly.

    Cool

    What we ended up doing was redownload that game file, (we left the window up just to be safe) and then we also noticed that the game control panel does NOT work that well with some games on accounts that where on the server before the cPGS was installed, but worked great on accounts created after the cPGS was installed (not sure if that's a known issue or not )

    Hope this helps!

    Still nothing, tried to force install cPGS and then re-download installation package.

    it shows after install:

    Bytes 100%
    Files 0%
    Blocks 100%
    Installation done.

    But its not done

    This is caused by a corrupt server package (hl.cpgs has wrong md5sum and doesn't untar properly.) I've got your ticket and am downloading it again, barring any ram/disk issues it should install ok afterwards. If anyone else has similar issues, try grabbing a new server package file.
