How to start a Game server

Hello,

I have just taken over a dedicated server with CPGS installed on it. It has games already running fine, so it works.
However, what I want to know is how do I start a new gameserver? I need a step-by-step guide from A to Z please (:

I know how to install game files, but not setup the actual server.

Okay, here's how you start a game server.
Go to cPanel.
Scroll down and you should be able see Game Servers under Software/Services.
->If you can't find it there, here are some debug steps:
-->Check again if you have installed cPGS via WHM as ROOT user.
-->Go to feature manager and check that "Game Server Management" is ticked for your respective package.
-->Check if you are using a package with the feature of "Game Server Management".
--->If none of the above worked, submit a support ticket to Darren.
--->Fill "Product" with the second last option, cPanel GS.
Moving on, you should be at this page, find the respective game-server you wish to start.
->If you can't find any servers, here are some debug steps.
-->Go to WHM, click on the server, you should see this page, check that you have allowed the server.
Now you should be redirected to page like this.
Press start server.

Maybe I didn't explain myself well (re-reading it, I didn't) sorry! I wish to add a new gameserver to an account and setup that game server. So the game server will not yet be in the cPanel Gameservers page- but I want to make a game server effectively, so that it does show on that page.

I hope that is a bit clearer?

That just complicates me further...
So you want to add a new gameserver to an account.

But do not want it to be in the cPanel game servers page.

Okay, that was simple, short and sweet.

Simply:
>Go to WHM->Plugins->Game Server Management
>Under cPGS Servers
->Configure new backend server

For IP or Domain Name.
>If it is a local setup, type 127.0.0.1
>If it is a remote setup, type in the respective IP of the remote server.

Local setup refers to:
WHM in server A.
Installation of game server is in server A.
cPanel user can be in server A or B.

Remote setup refers to:
WHM in server A.
Installation of game server is in server B.
cPanel user can be in server A or B.

>Go to the newly configured backend server.
>Under Manage Games on Remote cPGS Server [ Respective server IP ]
->Click configure new game-server
>Do the necessary configuration for your game-server
>It should download the game-server package required for your server if you do not have the required game-server package.

Hopefully this has cleared up everything.

If not cleared up, here's a deeper explanation.

Backend server is like a "group" system.
Inside the "group" there are game-servers.

Now you should understand everything.

Thanks a lot, all I was trying to get across in my posts was that I wanted a new gameserver, and I thought that people would assume I could do that, and so try to tell me how to do something else, I tried to make it super clear and ensure I didn't get an answer I didn't want, but failed- hey I'm tired...

Please remember that cPGS is still in beta stage, meaning it is still unstable, do not be shocked to see any bugs, report them to Darren by creating a ticket.

The official release will be version 1.0.0.
