I have been looking at multi-user voip solutions over the past few months and I have found that theres a decent app called mumble (the server side app is called murmur). This app beats both Team Speak and Ventrilo as its a). Multi-platform, b). open source and c). free to host.
There are a few things that are holding it back (eg: QT3 and QT4 depending on OS), Pulse audio library and other Libs that are meant on a Desktop.

It would be nice to give the ability to the user in the cpanel to append command line options, not just in WHM.

In addition to mumble I found that SAMP can have the slots edited easily. Is there a way where you can talk to the SAMP Devs and get them to have a force slots by startup line?

I know you mightn't get far, but its a start.

Backup system. Configurable by the customers. Backup time and cron details. Delete the 2nd/3rd/4th/so on backup after next backup is made. (Saves space)

I don't know how important this would be but hey why not. This is focused towards Half Life, and I do not know if it would work on other mods. Currently in cPanel when you rebuild Apache using Easy Apache it captures the text that is being outputed and displays it into your browser window. I kind of had two thoughts here. Would it be possibile to capture that text that is being displayed in the steam update window just like in Easy Apache? My second thought is that would it be possible to have that window show the server information when the a server is started and you would have the ability to come back to see the information that is being output by the server?

Would be possible to determine wich servers the reseller can install? Also, the ip´s that the reseller can use, can be fixed? so the reseller cannot install servers every where?

Any news on whether or not this will ever be added?

I have got the server running along side cPanel with very little effort. The pre-compiled binaries make it super easy to setup with very little configuration needed.

Currently I'm struggling with getting ICE to work with cPanel so that I can setup an administration website for it.

It would however be nice and neat to have this all tied in with cPanel, including the provisioning of new servers for new customers.

I think that for the Counter Strike gameserver, a console should be added! So the customers / administrators of that clan or whatever can control who is in the game at the time, talk to them from the console, kick, ban etc. This would be a huge hit.

Many Dameon Game Server Control Panels come with this, like GameCP.

Also, ive noticed that he server.cfg for counterstrike source is the old one, and therefore i have to go into file manager to get the server.cfg.old with the new features in.

Another idea - for the gameserver theme template in cPanel, i think you should add the option for file manager, so the customer / user doesnt have to have the x3 Skin.


A question: Why do people have to download the files for counterstrike source using a mirror? sv_downloadurl="nobodyneeds.com/game/server/files/"

Can this not downloaded from the .gameservers/hl2_0/cstrike/ automatically. Saves disk space that way.

Well, when I'm allowed to request a game: Trackmania with the recordscript/mod XASECO (TrackMania Nations - XASECO).
I've installed and configured the game for now by myself, but it would be very nice to have the option for installing and configuring it with cPGS.
