New Options

Ok, what I would like is for everyone to think about the games they run and what options are currently present, then to list what options they would like to be added to the "simple" config of the game's cPanel page. I'd like to get more options added for all the games, but quite frankly when I sat down to get it done, I drew a blank. So rather than just adding some random stuff, let's hear what yall would like instead
I know it's tempting to go off on other feature requests here, but let's try to keep this thread strictly for extra options for existing games. I'll start another thread for more general feature requests

From the top of my head: editable map rotation config files.

For instance - you setup 3 different map rotation files and just pick one up for the server to use.

You'll get more once I dig deeper into cpgs.

Add a block in there for the +set fs_game and enable punkbuster what would be nice is a spot to configure and update punkbuster for Call of Duty. Maybe add a ban user field. Would be nice to see a status screen to see users on the server and have a kick ban option for it as well.

I have many ideas :O)

Add ability for the users to upload map files, or for the admins to put them in a dir on the server and have them copy on install, or by users request.

Also maybe a way to install addons for hl2 - mani/smm and config files.

In my area Jedi Knight 2 (Quake 3 Engine Based) is still a pretty popular game played online.

Any chance it might be added?

That is not a sollution for GameServer hosting and cPanel.
A Hoster cant control things, cant send bills etc etc.
Bad tool for cpanel based hosting servers.
Keep in mind, mostly the cPGS Addon will run gameservers on shared servers.
I am still waiting for the feature request that cPGS slaves also creates "shell" accounts. When that part is working then a whole new world will be opened Run as many Slaves (dedicated servers) for games

i have been pulling my hair out off and on for about a week now. trying to figure out how to setup fear on a linux setup....

i have found basically no instructions for it... its the most vague install i have ever tried...

i might as well have to code fear too.....

i love the game. (and im usually good at it ) but its a big disapointment not being able to setup my own server.

(windows is not an option) i want actual server in a data center. and i already have a linux server.

maybe il finish browsing around here and find some info to help me manually install it? or manually integrate it with cpgs..

This may be stupid, but I would like to see a generic start/stop


Lets say I plan to run a ut3 or crises (even if those games will eventually be available for cpgs, a lot are not.) server when they are available, all I want to do is give those users a start and stop button, most configurations of games can be done through ftp.

So basically, per user, the start button will send a command to start their server located in their home folder and same with the stop.

I would love to see these features

1. Create users on remote servers, with the same username/pass as set on cPanel. Or makea way of adding new users to the cPanel, and make it on the remote server at the same time
2. I would love to see a wider selection of games, and the simple config editor to work on more HL2 based games
3. A new theme! How much I love this project, the template ou have at the moment is just awful

I could try and make a theme, however I probably wouldn't be able to integrate it with cPGS and cPanel. Keep up the good work cPGS
